whatcha reading (March)
We’re here! It’s March. Snow, sun and slightly lighter evenings (thank goodness). I’ve also realised that each of these has seen me apologising and not really noting all the “non-books” I’ve read, so I’m going to try something slightly different this time. Not writing them all down (that would be madness, I really do read a lot of random things for various reasons), but writing down any that I found particularly striking or engaging. Also, this month appears to be the one where I read a lot of poetry. So with no further ado, here’s March:
Meet me at the Lighthouse- Dana Gioia
The Kaiju Preservation Society- John Scalzi
Independence- Chitra Bannerjee Divakaruni
Around India in 80 Trains- Monisha Rajesh
The Assassin’s Cloak: an anthology of the world’s greatest diaries-compilation
The New Education: How to Revolutionize the University to Prepare Students for a World In Flux- Cathy Davidson
A Wrinkle in Time- Madeleine L’Engle
Ten Thousand Stitches- Olivia Atwater
The Last Graduate- Naomi Novak
On the Art of Writing- Arthur Quiller-Couch
The Golden Enclaves- Naomi Novak
Arabella- Georgette Heyer
