Don't worry, I haven't forgotten you. Just go to this new site, and you will find all of your poems and discussions still there. You should also stop here for a moment and say hi!

sun, wind, and wine

flowersWe went to Italy this week (business for my husband, fun for me), and it was gorgeous, and fun, and delicious. I loved the food, the sunshine, and the Italian driving laws–which seemed to be “follow the laws until it becomes inconvenient, then do what you need to do.”  This includes driving around dogs who spend the day sleeping in the street, driving on the wrong side of the road to get around someone who has parked in the middle of the road, and generally just making do with whatever life throws at you.

I thought it was great.

When we returned to Manchester, tired and, as it turned out, coming down with the flu, it was very late at night, so I didn’t know that while we were away every bulb planted in Manchester had decided to poke its head above the ground.  Some of them had even decided to bloom. Even though I loved the sun of Palermo, I have to admit that the sight of these flowers made me smile.
